Housing term

Tenants’ Association(TA)

A Tenants’ Association (TA) is a voluntary organisation made up of residents of a housing estate or neighbourhood. The purpose of a TA is to represent the interests of the tenants and to provide a platform to communicate with local authorities and landlords. The scope of a TA typically includes matters such as housing conditions, rent levels, and service standards. TA’s also work to promote the social welfare of the tenants, and to improve the quality of life in the area by organising activities such as neighbourhood clean-ups and social events. TA’s may also be involved in local planning and other decision-making processes. By bringing together tenants, landlords, and local authorities, a TA works to identify and address issues of concern in the community, and to ensure that the voice of tenants is heard.
