Housing term

Pathfinder Plans(PP)

Pathfinder Plans (PP) are strategic plans developed by the UK government in order to address long-term housing challenges in areas of the country where housing supply is inadequate. These plans are designed to identify and deliver integrated solutions to housing issues, and to provide a framework for local authorities and housing providers to co-ordinate their efforts. The scope of PP includes the identification of land and the development of new housing, the rejuvenation of existing neighbourhoods, and the delivery of affordable housing. The purpose of PP is to create sustainable communities with a mix of affordable and market housing, to help meet local needs, and to deliver the best value for money. The plans also seek to improve housing standards, provide access to essential services, and create employment opportunities. Additionally, PP must meet national planning policy requirements.
