Nursing Care
Nursing care is the provision of services to people who are sick, injured, or disabled so that they can stay in their own homes or return home as soon as possible. This type of care is often provided by nurses, but may also be delivered by caregivers such as home health aides.
In the United Kingdom, nursing care is provided by the National Health Service to elderly patients in their own homes. The goal of this program is to help seniors live independently for as long as possible and avoid having to go into a nursing home. Services offered through the NHS nursing care program include personal care, medication management, meal preparation, and light housekeeping.
