Housing term

Nominee Purchaser(NP)

Nominee Purchaser (NP) is an arrangement in the UK housing market in which a third-party buyer purchases a home on behalf of an aspiring homeowner who is not yet able to do so due to limited credit, income, or other short-term financial constraints. The NP is responsible for finding a suitable property, completing the necessary paperwork and financing, and managing any risks associated with the purchase. The purpose of the NP is to enable a financially-limited buyer to become a homeowner without having to secure a mortgage or other loan. The scope of the NP is limited to the specific purchase transaction, and does not include any additional responsibilities such as providing ongoing property management services.
