Holistic Needs Assessment
A holistic needs assessment is an evaluation of a person’s overall health and well-being that takes into account all aspects of their life – physical, emotional, social, spiritual, and environmental. It is used to identify any areas where the person may be experiencing distress or not feeling fulfilled, and to provide recommendations for interventions or lifestyle changes that can address these areas.
A holistic needs assessment is often conducted by a counselor or therapist who has training in holistic approaches to health and wellness. However, it can also be done by a nurse or other healthcare professional who has been trained in assessing the whole person.
