Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic (BAME) in the context of UK housing refers to those who are not of White British ethnicity. BAME is a broad term used to represent many different minority ethnicities within the UK, including those of African, Asian, and Middle Eastern backgrounds. The purpose of BAME in UK housing is to ensure that those from minority ethnic backgrounds are not discriminated against or excluded from accessing housing services in the UK. BAME includes those from all backgrounds, regardless of their religion, gender, or other characteristics. The scope of BAME in UK housing includes access to housing services, such as access to housing benefits, social housing, and access to private rental accommodation. Additionally, the scope of BAME in UK housing includes access to housing advice and guidance, as well as access to legal services for those from minority ethnic backgrounds.
