Best Value Performance Indicator(BVPI)
Best Value Performance Indicator (BVPI) is an assessment system introduced by the UK government in 2003 to measure the efficiency, effectiveness and value for money of local housing authorities. The purpose of BVPI is to provide an objective and transparent assessment of how well individual local authorities are performing in terms of providing social housing. The scope of BVPI covers all aspects of local housing authorities’ work, including the quality of services, the performance of staff, and the overall value for money achieved. It also considers the impact of housing policies and strategies on local communities and the environment. BVPI is used to evaluate the performance of local housing authorities on a regular basis and to help inform decisions about future policy and investment.
